The Trust is a non-profit entity with expense ratios that are much lower than commercial insurers. The Trust writes coverage directly with members bypassing agents and brokers along with their associated fees.
We offer personalized service to each member and timely responses to any questions or concerns.
Claims are timely, professionally handled by experienced, adjusters familiar with the claims generated by counties. They know the applicable law & statutes in Missouri and will review each incident to determine legitimacy.
We offer a variety of ways that claims can be reported, including our 24/7 critically acclaimed Nurse Triage program. Nurse Triage is a telephonic triage staffed by licensed professional nurses experienced in workers’ compensation who can talk with the injured employee or supervisor to direct their care.
Loss runs can be tailor-made specifically for each county.
An experienced and knowledgeable in-house Risk Manager is available to offer members a variety of sample programs, safety talks, safety posters and risk management services to help reduce losses.
MAC Trust University offers hundreds of online training courses on safety, risk management, human resources and law enforcement programs, including Peace Officer Standards & Training (POST) approved courses for your Sheriff’s Department.
